In 1987 Roland Corporation released the TR-626 Rhythm Composer. It is a 12-bit digital sample based machine. It offered real-time and step recording modes. It also comes with with 16 drum tone pads and 8 voices of polyphony. This sample library consist of samples directly recorded from the hardware through a studio grade AD/DA convertors.
